The end of the year is the perfect time to hit pause, take a deep breath, and set your sights on the kind of year you really want in 2026.

If you’re like most Visionaries and business leaders, you’re juggling a million things while already thinking about what’s next.
Before you roll into Q1, here are six practical moves to help you hit the ground running—with clarity, momentum, and yes, a little bit of that “New Year, New You” energy (without the burnout).
1. 🔍 Review Your Past Rocks
Your Rocks are the big priorities for the quarter. But if they’re too vague, too many, or just not aligned with your Vision—then your team’s already off track before the year begins.
Take time to:
Review your 2025 Rocks. What did you accomplish? What’s still lingering?
Ask: Are these Rocks pushing the business forward or just maintaining the status quo?
Set clear, measurable Rocks that will move your Vision forward in Q1.
2. 📈 Refresh Your Scorecard
What gets measured gets done—but only if you’re measuring the right things. Now’s the time to:
Revisit KPIs for each seat on your Accountability Chart.
Ask your leaders: What data would help you make better decisions faster?
Cut the fluff—streamline your Scorecard so it’s easy to review weekly. Pro tip: 5–15 key measurables is the sweet spot.

3. 🧹 Clear Out Processes That No Longer Serve You
Not everything from 2025 deserves to come into 2026. Review your core processes:
What’s outdated?
What’s not being followed by all?
What’s overly complex?
Then, simplify. Standardize. And recommit your team to following them every time.
4. 🎯 Realign Your Accountability Chart
People shifts happen. Before Q1, make sure:
Every seat is still needed.
Each seat has the right person (RP/RS check!).
You have a hiring plan for any open or underperforming seats.
Nothing creates drag like misalignment in your structure.
5. 💬 Book Your Same Page Meetings
Visionary + Integrator = unstoppable (when aligned!). Book your Same Page Meetings now and make them sacred:
Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on your relationship stage
Come with an open mind and a list of issues to IDS®
Leave aligned on every major decision
Bonus: This is the place to check assumptions and squash misunderstandings before they fester.
6. ✨ Create White Space for Innovation
The best ideas don’t happen when you're busy putting out fires.
Before the year starts:
Schedule time for strategic thinking
Declutter your calendar
Say “no” to things that don’t align with your Vision
Give yourself (and your team) room to dream, innovate, and step into 2026 with purpose—not panic.
Let’s Make 2026 the Year of Traction
Getting ahead of Q1 is the ultimate gift to your future self. These six moves might feel simple, but they’re mighty. Done with intention, they create clarity, boost momentum, and help your business run like the strong, values-driven machine it was meant to be.
If you're feeling stuck, scattered, or just unsure where to start—know this: sometimes the smartest move is bringing in outside eyes, fresh energy, and a proven system to help your team thrive.
Here’s to a powerful start and a wildly successful 2026! 🚀
